Ugh, and Clarkson’s downplaying it like the corona-sceptic antivaxxers. I love that man so much, I love everything he does and Top Gear was and is such a huge part of my life... But man, I for every reasonable, sensible and funny thing he says, I then get a follow-up of disappointment.
I keep switching between - he’s joking in an ironic way, pointing out how censorship can hurt humor and freedom of speech - and - he’s just a right wing asshole. Still not sure what to think.
Sorry for going on an off-topic rant lol.
If it really was Corona, I’m glad that he got through it okay, some weren’t so lucky.

Honestly, given the complete hysteria over something that is turning out to be much less deadly than expected, a little humor is fine.

I feel like by all accounts this has been much worse than expected, but I agree with you that humor is good. We’re doing the best we can to fight it so nothing wrong with making some jokes to help raise our spirits
